Evils Spring Poem by Kevin Patrick

Evils Spring

Rating: 5.0

The moon is full and ominous
Pail starless night grows ravenous
Lanes grow dim and fog devours
Spectres roam the twilight hours

A monster lurks for his new bride
Foul Witches fly the devils skies
Ghouls and ghosts crawl out of the Vaults
As children dance macabre Waltz

The streets are hosts to monsters feast
Skipping blithely pixies and beasts
Lord Dracula preys on the prowl
A mummy stalks, the wolf man howls

And Pyres light the final harvest
Open veil reveals the darkness
Ghosts of summer, death now sings
In cold black autumns evil spring

I whole-heartedly agree with Paul below- this poem should become Halloween's anthem like Twas the Night Before Christmas is for Christmas! You end-rhymed so gracefully! ! ! ! My verses sound strained and downright tortured when I try end-rhyming so I totally appreciate the talent it takes to write so flowingly as you just did. 10++++++
