Excessive Beauty Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Excessive Beauty

by Freeyad Ibrahim

If my eyes see your beauty coming
O my beloved
by your soul,
I got drunk without drinking,
Excessing Or Excessive.

The tears have written on my cheeks
Their covenant
For passion and longing
dictate what is written,
Impressing Or Impressive

Don't fight with your eyes my heart
For two weak figures
Might overcome one strong,
Suppressing Or Suppressive.

I've seen a full moon walking on the Earth,
and I've never seen a full moon walking
on the Earth,
Intending Or Intensive.

I submitted to her in love
First my repute then honor,
Every lover to the loved ones is
Submitting Or Submissive.

They said parting tomorrow, no doubt
I told them.... Rather…
I would die before parting tomorrow
It is a harsh decision
Permitting Or Permissive
