excuse me, mom,
"where do I belong and to whom"?
the baby girl was asking with curiosity
the mom was had slight difficulty
"Why am I little black"?
girls from school often ask,
when you and Papa are a white parent?
why is it absent in me?
I was taken aback
when so much was at stake!
come here, daughter
I will explain you here
You are not our natural baby
you were brought from some another country
the babies are being adopted for childless parents
and you are the god sent "present" to us
she understood the gravity,
and bowed down to the gesture of humanity,
what was the importance of color to human beings?
if it could not bring any kind of happiness
