Existential Poem by Troy Cochran

Existential

Rating: 5.0

(In Earnest of Being Ernest) *

It is what it is.
Whatever it is.
It, that is.

If it wasn't,
it would be what it isn't,
and that's an impossibility.

It, that is.
Whatever it is.
Not isn't... er, ... wasn't.

Whatever it was, but wasn't
and never will be
because it isn't.

It is what it IS, dammit.
Whatever it is but wasn't and never will be
because it couldn't!

Existentially speaking, of course.

Whatever it is, it is that. Exceptionally this is beautifully written for your friend as a tribute of friendship is heart touching and reveals emotion and memories. Impossible things turn into possible things while light of love and knowledge touches. Whatever he likes to say is titled in amazing poem. You are a brilliant poet definitely....10

My 'brilliance' is debatable, but let's not quibble. ;) ... however, to prove my point: 'it is what it is' is one of those statements that seems to say absolutely nothing, yet, oddly absolutely everything! Another one, that I also hear a lot, is: 'you are where you are.' But that's another poem.... Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for comment and vote! Peace! :)
