External Force Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

External Force

My Mind now full, but weary,
My eyelids heavy with sleep,
But I'll not go to bed yet,
The words of this poem'll not keep.

As I put my pen to paper,
I know not what I write,
An External Force controls me,
But I'll not put up a fight.

I must have touched a nerve,
If one of those has HE,
By complaining in a poem,
That HE'd taken HIS Mind from me.

Have I invoked HIS anger?
I hope that I have not,
By cajoling HIM to help me
Unblock this Poets' Block.

My pen now glides along quickly,
This poem has finished fast,
I thank HIM for HIS help tonight,
As tonight, this is my last.
