Extinction Is Forever That Seems Sad To Say Poem by Francis Duggan

Extinction Is Forever That Seems Sad To Say

Extinction is forever that seems sad to say
And more life forms becoming extinct every day
Like trying to re-create the paper we've given the fire for to burn
The dead to life never more ever return
Loss of habitat and pollution and over hunting three things mostly to blame
For causing extinction and to our eternal shame
We do abuse Nature for our short term gain
And our mistakes of the past we repeat them again
Human part in species extinction cannot be denied
And many species have become extinct since the last dodo died
More creatures are threatened when more trees are cut down
And a City has grown from what once was a town
More life forms endangered with the dawning of each day
Mostly due to human greed that does seem sad to say.
