Eyes Of Emeraude Poem by G J Salgado

Eyes Of Emeraude

No matter how hard she tried she couldn't get the smell of him out of her skin,
His blood tasted sweet and pure,
But she denied her lust and his angel breath within,
She thought she was trapped upon his dreams but was unsure.

How did he find his way to her she wondered,
What had made her so different or special,
His heart was heavy and dark it whispered to her upon thunder,
Each time she heard his voice she fell.

Upon her knees she had begged him to stay,
Though she desperately wanted him to leave,
She cursed him but loved him in a delusional way,
It was with every inch of his aura she tried to retrieve.

Without him she couldn't breathe,
But he was far too dark for her to control or obtain,
Only through his eyes could she see,
Inside his soul is where she lived and would remain.

She was his blushing new bride,
Waiting for him to sing her a lullaby,
They danced away into the night's ocean tide,
But he couldn't speak less sing for his presence and their love story only existed within her own eyes.
