Eyes Wide Open Poem by J.B. LeBuert

Eyes Wide Open

Your eyes are wide open, but you are blind.
Your ears hear everything, but you are deaf, I find.
Your fingers feel all, but you're so out of touch.
Your heart is beating, but your heart is such,
That when it comes to compassion, you don't have much.

Infinite wisdom eludes you every day.
Knowledge is not your strong suit today.
Empathy is a word that is foreign to you.
A penny for your thoughts, when I'm through
With my tirade and keen judgments, about you.

I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly
Your pitiful, small minded thoughts are not snugly.
You're not one of a kind, or unique in your style.
Are there any of your genus, that we shouldn't revile?
When it comes to garbage, you're in the pile.

I'm not just talking about one single man;
I'm talking about a real ugly clan.
Your self-gratification is truly dour,
And the stink of your life is quite sour.
Will you give anything to gain power?

I end this poem by saying that we have our hopes,
But only if you stop treating us like a dopes.
Your desire for power and money is sick.
Your clan of politicians aren't worth a lick.
If I had a chance, I'd beat you all with a stick.

Rhythm completely in good beats, content really in full tank, everything just a real and good advice for who want to take it...because it really helpful for people to see, hear and to feel what the you have said here, you tell with full of your heart, through your experience and by your sincere thought...it's a wonderful thing to read for such good poetry, lesson and music! ! _Unwritten Soul
