When first I saw your face I was entranced
Inspired with beauty overwhelming and appealing
Making my heart tremble and soul rejoice.
Once I dreamt of seeing such a face in my youth
But never thought the dream would become reality.
Your beauty, wit and charm, inspires my Muse
Giving birth to colours and light with each day's passing
And because of you I see God's hand everywhere.
When I am alone I hear your voice, so precious
Echoing soft and gentle within my happy mind.
I bless the woman who gave you birth
And the brightness of your soul, and for loving me.
You have seeded and nurtured my heart
Flourishing with love's cherished flowers.
