Fail To Start Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We see happenings around
But no change is found
We observe untruth everywhere
But fail to register protest with failure

We the poets
Remain quiet
Run after sun and moon
But fail to notice the laborer toiling under sun

What is use of such feeling?
When we see only and do nothing
We wrap poem with good words
To look dead like piece of wood

We often claim human beings are sentimental
Yes same feelings is in animal too
They also cry and express helplessness
The only thing is they can't express

We have mastered the art
And never fail to start
From where to pick the gain
At the cost of someone else's pain

This may be so since the inception
Human feeling is as such with relation
We feel and realize but fail to act
Express hollow words with disregard to fact
