Fall From My Embrace Poem by Kelly Batson

Fall From My Embrace

Rating: 4.0

I’ve seen all I need to see
In your eyes and you’ve seen mine
And I’ve got everything I need
Right here inside of me
A remedy is never that simple
But I think this time I got this right

So take my broken pieces
And throw them in my face
All this time it was never your place
And now I hope you see
You’ve done the worst to me
And I’m finding someone new
How easy that will be

You just proved me right
And I can’t bear your night
I know because I’ve lived there
When you turn off your lights
And I can’t stand your lies
I know because I’ve cried
And you just leave the fight
And then I’m left alone

Hold your tongue cause I don’t need your sympathy
What’s done was done when you turned your back on me

I’m doing this for me
It’s so easy I just can’t believe
My love is something you cannot replace
Go ahead and fall from my embrace
