Falling Into Autumn Poem by Holly Jamestone

Falling Into Autumn

The autumn leaves again adrift
Sailing, flying, burning gift
Seasons beckoned to change hands
Soft wind eyeing where leaf lands

Leafing, leaving, float away
Crisped and crunchy, gold spun hay
Leaves of blonde and copper brown
All atwitter in this town

Playful leaves jump from their branches
Tumbleweed skips by the ranches
Crimson, hallowed land of gold
Seamless beauty to behold

Autumn falling till threadbare
Burning cedar in the air
One last dance till lily white
Quilted snow fields hush the night
