Family Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Family

Family

Name me as you like, want
Old-fashioned, neo-con
Whatever, any kind.

Be aware I want love
Not in way you define
For shoes, food or a car.

Love is will to give life
Not selling, not to buy.

Now I am in black
Mourning for what we lost
Meaning ‘care, live to love'.

I spoke with Jeff, Sam
I confess: "Did not like."

One has a brother: "Don't know him."
Another siblings: "Don't know them."

Both have their back to fathers…

Then what is family?
Having dog, cat or fish?

To me is different
Family equals siblings and parents.

They give worth to word ‘love'
True love and the will to give life.
