Far Too Deep Poem by James S.

Far Too Deep

Always thought I was lucky
Havin' you holding on, when your blue
But now that things are yucky
Not so sure that was always true

Remember when we thought
We were so much better?
Then those who faught
And we had never?

Summer days wished last forever
Break of dawn, until we sleep
Why this feeling must we sever?
When did things become so steep?

I lay motionless in my bed
Without you it's not the same
Thoughts of you run through my head
I whisper to myself your name

The truth is, I miss you near
Your laugh and your twitch
That smile from ear to ear
This wound is far too deep to stitch

This wound is far too deep to stitch
