Farewell Poem by Timothy Lee Hollandsworth Jr.

Farewell

Rating: 5.0

You taught me how to love.
Taught me how to care.
You were my best friend,
You were always there.
I wasn't there when the cold took your hand.
I've forgotten you face, it's too much to bear.
I couldn't save you.

You showed me what it means
To be alive.
But I can't live
Since you died.
I promised you
I wouldn't cry.

I would rather burn in hell
Than say it, but this is farewell.
This is the lullaby
Of my soul, it cries.
I can't let go but
This is goodbye.

You were my world,
Now it's crumbled.
You were my shield,
Now I'm taking a tumble.
But I won't let it go to waste,
What you gave to me.
I'll make you proud
I swear to the.
My life's still not over.

I'd rather burn in hell
Than to say farewell.
This is the lullaby
Of my soul, it cries.
I can't let go, but,
This is goodbye.

This is goodbye.
Here's a farewell.
Just know, I would rather burn in hell.
