Fast Forward, Please Poem by Rylie Shoop

Fast Forward, Please

Rating: 4.0

I wasn't put on this earth,
for pleasing everyone.
I wasn't put on this earth,
for everyone to like me.
I was put here,
to make a small difference in the world.
Good or bad.
I shan't need to follow your commands.
Shall I try living up to your expectations,
only to miserably fail?
Setting me up for failure,
is what you're best at.
Needing a small escape,
escape from reality.
To get away from all the humiliation,
regret.
Where is the fast forward button of life,
when you need it?
