Fault Lines In My Heart
Was it your selected discourse on love,
where truth overwhelmed the path of longing,
or the undeniable expression
of your eyes that carved fault lines in my heart?
The writings of your voice soft and fluid
rekindled dreams dead but not forgotten
then the savage logic of the pain when
your once sweet words turned cold, harsh and bitter.
