Fear Poem by Oge Nwankwo

Earthquakes hold me up
While I fight for air to breathe
It's almost game time...

So I tuck my fears in fast
And I tuck my shirt in too

With both palms sweating
With loud Heart quickly thumping
I slowly await...

No thoughts of strength once felt before
No boasts of wins, sure and fact

With arms now shaking
My steady mind is still, still
It hits me at last...

Though cradled in fear and doubt
Im blessed with a mind so still.
