Fear Poem by Robert Eclipse

Fear

Rating: 5.0

Spreads through the body
Like blood in water
And a chill goes through your
Spine
Your skin goes white as
Leprosy
And your body frozen
With fright
Your hands shake yet
Your legs daren't
Move
Stuck in one place like a
Picture on a wall
Your heart beats
Faster faster every
Second racing like
A horse
Your body becomes cold
Cold as the depths of
The arctic ice
As you're captivated
By fears inescapable might.

That's really strong, powerful writing. The images are excellently chosen too; blood through wateras the 1st especially, it shows the reader where the poem is heading. Great stuff-M
