I see you little one
With fear in your bright eyes
Hush its only me
Pure love forever
Like it should always be

Don't go by my looks
My large feet, my books
I am a gentle giant
Try me I am really pliant
I can see your faith it shook

Perhaps it was Nature
That scared you little one
The gurgling of the brook
The bright sun or the buzzing bees
That brought the heebie-jeebies

One day you will know
I am your best friend, a doe
You will come to love me
And some kindness show
That is for time and me to know
