Fear Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Fear

I sit in the shadows, waiting,
a quiet breath against your neck.
Every step feels heavier,
every choice a thread too thin to hold.

You see it in the cracks of the pavement,
the trembling hands of strangers,
the silence between words.
It asks questions you can't answer,
whispers outcomes you can't escape.

It thrives on the unknown
on the fragile edges of certainty.
Yet, in its grip, you move forward,
because stillness is no sanctuary.

Fear shapes the path,
but it does not define it.
