Fearful Eyes Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Fearful Eyes

Cruel game
Saturday,1st September 2018

My star has gone
forever in heaven
leaving behind all the burdens
and departure was made all of sudden

I stared at the sky
and asked why?
was she taken there
with no answer, I feared

"We will have a baby"
she was ready
to give birth to a newborn
and definitely turn the tide

I read some lines
but couldn't define
exactly or name
was this a cruel game?

I read hidden worries
as she was in the hurry
as if she will not see next day's sun
she might have seen the death god with the gun
