February Poem by Nancy Chambers

February

Daffodils are breaking ground
Birds are singing.
I love that sound
Days are longer now
There's a farmer at his plow
The temps are going higher and higher
Is that groundhog a blatant liar?
Old Man Winter tries to hang on
In a couple of weeks he'll be gone
Winter gives one last blast
But Spring's on the way and it won't last
