Fed To Feed On Nonsense Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fed To Feed On Nonsense

If people from childhood,
Are not taught to teach.
The importance of listening.
And encouraged with kept discipline,
To pay attention when others speak.
Who should these days expect,
Anything else...
But rude behavior.
Disrespect.
Distorted racial beliefs.
And a lack of awareness.
Limited to misunderstanding.
With arguments from them to get.

Then shocked and surprised,
How grown folks who may 'look'...
As if to be adults.
Are with an ease,
To be quickly manipulated.
And witnessed acting childish.
Whether they live in suburbia.
Or performing such thoughtless acts,
On inner city streets.
Attacking themselves over,
Something that was heard to be said...
That has nothing to do with truth.
Or proven had been based on facts.

And this is where humanity,
Today is at.
Minds fed to feed on nonsense.
Deluded and protesting against truth.
And all that reality presents,
That does not represent fiction!
