Feeling Scared And Alone Poem by Ronald Chapman

Feeling Scared And Alone

I always remember your words,
Be happy, smile on rainy days and stormy nights,

It's late,
The sounds of the day have grown silent,
Heavy thunder,
Rain hitting the windows, trying to break in,

Late at night,
Dreams piercing my heart,
Feeling scared and alone,

Looking for reasons to remember you,
Surrounded by reflections of you in every rainy window,
You, who I fell in love with, in such a far away place,
Such a long time ago,

Distance and time,
The most painful of reasons remembering you,

Like rain on a dark night,
It never seems to end,
Until the bright blue skies of dawn come.

Like never ending love,
The more I fill my heart with visions of you,
The clearer my life becomes.
