Fig Leaf, Pest And Foot Rhyme

Rating: 5.0

For its softness and pliability,
it's a vine leaf, I suspect,
that covers a sculpture's crotch,
not 'fig', as the English say.

'Pliability', from the French
for to fold and bend.

On the way to that,
pioom, a human pest in Brazil
(after a troublesome biting fly) .

Rhyming with the poet Byron,
in Greece, 'bran' is (or was) 'pityron'.
