Final Dusk Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Final Dusk

Rating: 4.8

When I’ve spent the day
Wandering desolate fields
Of tormented flowers
Fading fast
And after every relationship
I’ve known
Comes to a close
And swiftly enters
The burial grounds
Of the past,

I search through a disconcerting life
For a glint of sunlight
That escaped from a dream

When my heart was young.

Somewhere within,
Love resides;

And I’ll remember where
Before I shut my eyes
To the final dusk

That ushers in the Lord.
