been to hainan
for five days looking for
that chicken which you
took pride of

i did not find it
what i found instead was this
goat
which they butchered

it was camouflaged as a cow
revered by those who did not know
what religion is all
about

flying away from the heat
and the fraud and
the cajolery

finally i landed back home
at sea.

there was this tall woman with two faces
one facing west for peace
and one facing east for war

well it could be
that this country is giving us two options
and we have no choice
except one but not both

the place is too hot for all of us
someone collapsed
and we reason
