Find An Exit Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Find An Exit

When it has been made clear,
There is nothing you share with someone...
Other than sex.
Nothing but a togetherness,
Wet in naked flesh.
Seek counseling.
This is just a prolonged fling.

You may not like this suggestion,
I offer to you next.
Find an exit.
And don't reject it.
In belief an adjustment made,
Will satisfy and correct.
It will not.
No matter who enjoyed what.
On the bottom or from on top.
