Fire Poem by Melissa Caron

Fire

A burning fire
Creates a flaming desire
Like life itself
We create our self
It twist and turns
With a brilliance as it burns
Orange, like moments of courage we create
Yellow, showing happiness in our divine fate
Cool blue, To represent the sadness we face
Or the moments, we wish to erase
When the flames, go low, we insert the wood
Keeping those flames, alive for common good
Fire, keeps homeless warm in the winter cold
Much like, the gold the human hearts hold
We fight to keep the fire alive
We also fight to survive
Like destiny itself, a fire is as big as we make it, to be
It is an inspiration, like we should all be
Creating fun, sharing warmth, creating light
So let us fight
To keep the fire alive
For the flames to survive
Once, the fire goes out, never will it come back
For it will be a new fire, the same fire is now just a black
Ash substance, at the bottom of the pitt
Never will the same fire, rage again those flames have quit
Burning, it is only going to be as brilliant, as you choose for it to be
That fire, is burning inside of you and me
