Fire And Water Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Fire And Water

I Am Fire, You Are Water

You looked at me that a way,
And I your way.
Our love locked stare,
Made us share,
Our love.

But what love?
We hadn't talked yet.
We didn't shake hands yet.
How could it be?

It's how you walked,
And how you talked.
You spoke with an angle,
I had never heard.

You moved with a turn,
I had never seen.
You moved like a river,
Like cool water seen.

It became clear.
I was your fire,
And you were my water.
