Firelight Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Firelight

Firelight, Tonight she wakes
A woman soon; For now the child
Seducing amid blue eyes so fiercely wild
The flower lost when virtue breaks

Desire, overwhelming
While she lies under the cobra snake
For only a moment squirms in pain
Then settles with moans felt deep within
She feels how warm his venom drips
Wants only more of him

From love nesting to the water shore
A woman cleans away the nasty beast
A smile is upon her face
As she watches him retreat

Only the moon has seen the deed
Left behind a blood pool stain
Run faster lover from whence thou was
For thyself has hearts to break

A year has passed and still she smiles
She smiles everyday
Her purity lost a year ago
A child with his name
