Neha Dua

First Dance

Like an infant in the cradle
I rocked in his arms and penned this fable

The sweet lucid lyrics of the song
Made me forget right and wrong

He looked at me as if a rainbow in the sky
My heart skipped a beat and I felt so shy

My silky black hair acted as a veil
But his one touch and I let myself sail

He held me close and his lips touched mine
As if a thirsty soul tasted french wine

My fingers then reached his curly hair
Ang got entwined without care

I envisioned our future in those moments so pure
He is my soulmate my heart said for sure

The time should stand still was my wish
I know I was acting childish

One last embrace and that will be all
For I have to rush back before my dad's call

Mesmerized by the thought of that beautiful evening
I am writing this while his intoxicatins smell still lingering..

Very emotive piece of work, values that are now 'poetic' and not to be seen around us - and makes one yearn to go back to the media-influence free innocent days.

'For I have to rush back before my dad's call ' - There's so much love here as well.

A straight 10/10 and my vote for your honest and beautiful work.

In this world full of mysteries
    All temporal illusion, magical, fuzzes,
Into which we are born and trying to vanquish
To rule here for some time until we vanish.

We scream and shout in vain
And trying to find out in pain,
And when it’s end of our lane
We find that these are all His game.

You need to know the only secret
Time flows on and never reset,
Joyously you’ll grow, align your mindset
Else you do the mistake biggest.

    You know only one secret
Passes through time the one way current,
If you understand, peacefully you let
your life lead, till the ultimate.

Such is the tyranny of fate
He fulfils the desires soon or late,
Putting us in such a state
That we are bound to remain His pet.

Hunting for knowledge in childhood we rise
Until we become clever and wise,
But if we look back with inner eyes
This world is tied with lies.

Destiny has gifted us a perfect way
You don’t dare it is what you say
Remember this life will be taken away
Hence you always submit and pray
    His command you must obey
    Else life will become astray.

it is like a good oracle of soft corners.....but Dad is still dear
One last embrace and that will be all
For I have to rush back before my dad's call
