First Place Poem by Randy McClave

First Place

True, it is always the nice guys that always finish last
While crossing the finish line by bad guys they get passed,
Guys that have cheated and stole and lied
While everyone else cheered and was always on their side.
Bad guys enjoy using pity and also their tears
Combined with their worries and their problems with their fears,
Those bad guys use their emotions to get whatever they want
While they use and abuse and at the good guys they laugh and taunt.
Their believers are just lost sheep in a sad flock
Where at truth and honesty they will always laugh and mock,
That is where the black sheep originally came from
They are the lost sheep that are non caring, unemotional and dumb.
The good guys they will always get taken advantage of
By the tricks and faucets of friendship, family and/or love,
Bad guys seemingly never do care or understand or learn
But, their actions and deeds will ultimately lead them to suffer and burn.
Bad guys never look back or feel guilt from the hurt they have done
They always see it as a necessity, a learning experience or as fun
And they never care about the good guys that they hurt
And they are the first ones to abandon and then quickly dessert.
A bad guy is usually a friend or sadly even a mate
They have tricked and lied with a heart and soul full of sin and hate,
But, one day will come and then will end their sinful lust and thirst;
In Heaven the good guys will always come in first.
