Fitting The Bill

In an old tongue
an 'elephant' was a 'barys'.
That word meant 'heavy' too.
To nickname a big guy that,
even one with a big proboscis,
was to lack wit.
But for a skinny,
unaccountable chick-magnet
'Barys' fit.
