Five Liners-26-30 Poem by Indira Renganathan

Five Liners-26-30

Rating: 4.0

26 At Last

I saw a dead crow sunbaked on the ground
Next day I saw a crow crying long lonely
For four days crying went on and I thought
May be, the wife of the dead one.But next day
As I saw a new crow feeding it anxiety got outbound

27 Shiva

All-Power of ancient God-ism primal
He came into vision in time unknown
A yogi, sanyasi, yet a dancer and spouse
Of Parvathi. And a supreme Being fearful
Yet benign and an evil-destroyer for our survival

28 The Poet's Struggle

Where from do thoughts come we don't know
Where do they go hidden also we don't know
Forgetfulness or incapability we can't assess
The poet's mind is now numb to find new thoughts
Where has gone his sack of words, he doesn't know

29 Aubade

In this mechanized noisy world
Peace is nil. Early at dawn
When crows and cuckoos and pigeons
And parrots and mynahs and all else
Cry, what an orchestral harmonic peace unfurled

30 Our Land

One fourth of Earth, just you think
For us humans to live, not breaking
The land into pieces of hatred and
Rivalry. Knowing the value of unity
Why do we tend to fight and sink
