Five Of Wands Poem by Robert Sheridan

Five Of Wands

When love goes wrong
Defend your honor, for
Your sanity's at stake;
A requiem for reposing.

Requiem æternam dona eis,
Domine... in other words,
Mass for the viewing
Of your dead heart.

And now it's time
To say goodbye to
This or any more
Romantic goals, tough merde!

'That's life, that's what
All the lost souls
Will say, you're riding
High, then bam - dismay'.

Certain ones always want
To be dominating queens
They'll spit on you
And spin you around.

But it's up to
You to put your
Foot down - 'Speak softly,
Carry a big stick'.

Hi Robert. A great write. I like the reference to the big stick at the end sometimes we could all do to carry one. well done Regards Dave T
