Flaunting A Wanting Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Flaunting A Wanting

It takes more than flaunting,
A wanting to announce.
What is wanted without preparation,
Discipline and dedication.
Stays to remain more talked about.
Since for many that is much easier,
Than a labor with effort to endeavor.
Others seldom witness.
And attention is more wished to get,
By those who flaunt a wanting.
Hoping to brag about it,
Is all they need...
To satisfy and appease,
Empty deeds but leaves...
A feeding of a well fed ego.
