Flaws Poem by Timothy Long

Flaws

flaws are inside us all,
flaws are all our own,
why cant perfection exist?
complications of simplicity cant be helped,
nor the irrationality of our fears,
the only thing seen as worse is our tears,
if one should make fun of one,
take it as a lesson and plan,
say if you know of this mistake,
you cannot know me,
only one part of the story called life,
if you did,
you would have mentioned the others,
but people assume as all humans do,
what a terrible thing to feel,
like most humans have,
no talent or drive to separate themselves,
an acceptance of mediocracy,
not everyone can be good,
let it be and let it go,
move away from expectations,
new mindsets and goals,
no one to live for or compare to,
just you and your thoughts,
reflecting on all your flaws.
