Fleets Poem by Paul Warren

Fleets

Rating: 5.0

I've driven them all
With no air conditioning to recall
When they were powder blue
And they were 202 then V8s too

There were sedans cage cars and panel vans
Chrysler Royals and FJs were in demand
With motor cycle outfits befor is e
When the change to cars was in store

There were Holdens Valiants and Commodores
All Kings of the bitumen running down malefactors
But now there are SUVs in the fleet with V8s no more
With only memories to lament those fleets we saw

Those cars are not to be seen again
Museum pieces to remember our four wheeled friends.

I've had a few museum pieces in my lifetime too where even the heater was an optional extra! Even motor bikes too. MY Suzuki 750 GSX my favourite when I was young and foolish, I manages 145 mph on a motorway racing a Kawasaki 750! !
