Flight Delay

Rating: 5.0

Back in the 1820s already,
Byron extolled the toll road:
'so smooth, so level', so shaved;
cor!
you almost knew
what it was like to soar.

Phaeton himself wouldn't have bothered flying
had he had 'em -
roads built by McAdam.

I feel a Byronic sigh
however:
toll road comfort
is setting back the urge to fly.

Phaeton himself wouldn't have bothered flying. This poem seems to be very informative. An interesting poem is excellently penned...10
