Floetry Ii Poem by Daniel Abwao

Floetry Ii

Again they come looking
for the least of luck to
keep them afloat in life
but as always they end up
not enabled to earn but
entangled in the shackles
of shell-shocking misfortunes
of joblessness, showering them
with despair and devilish
depth of disdain as the youth
left in tatters left to
tread this thorny path of
tainted hope and towering
trickles of tempting traps
intolerant of all the quagmire
the children of the lesser
god are in if not the
mire they have been discarded
into and drowned in.
a look into the sky spells
no sound signs of salvation
but shattered souls of the
sent away sacred beings,
the youth amounting sacrifice
or a sum worth millions
of souls; but that are no sank
never to be seen again.
