Floetry Iii Poem by Daniel Abwao

Floetry Iii

Having her in my heart
Heralded me to the heights
I had never heard of for she
Woke my waning wants
Of love I lost while
I lent my life to a lazy
Lady who did depths of
Damage to my emotions
Draining dry the pure passion
I ploughed painfully hard
Leaving in me a trail of
Torments and tears. She
Came and shook-off the
Shadows that engulfed me
Letting in a little ray of
Love light that soon
Magnified to make me
A marvel manifest of a
Mature man. Thank God
You came my way and
Brightened up my day so
If you may, please….don’t
Go away.
