Floral Messengers - Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Bouquets of flowers with rare beauty
Symbolic messengers of importance
Cut loose and lovingly given
Commemorating days as they advance

Youth matures and becomes magical
A corsage accompanies the first dance
Enhancing newly discovered manners
Swept up in the swirl of romance

Delicate and fragrant thoughts
Express unselfish feelings
Of love and endless caring…
Considerate and truly revealing

Sprays of blossoms for weddings,
Anniversaries and holidays
Full of smiles unfolding with ease…
Extending best wishes for the day

Memories fade as petals wither away
One by one days are reluctantly discarded
Until the final goodbye when life departs
Flowers gently display sympathetic regards
