Flower Poem by soren Barrett

Flower

An orchid grows on hard rock, roots clinging to a rough surface
Beauty pressed against cold stone, with painted lips kisses solid granite
From its nest of roots the Bennu bird sprouts flowering petals of the sun
A whirlwind of fiery blossoms erupts from seas' parted crevice of rock lifting Elijah fed by crows
An epiphyte nourished by God, manna that falls from heaven
