Flying High

Oh, do you love me still, my love,
Though you're no longer here -
Now you are flying high, my love,
Do you still shed a tear.

Do you still shed a tear, my love,
Whene'er you think of me -
Do you yet hold me close, my love,
Now that you are set free.

And now you are set free, my love,
Please send to me a sign
That if you love me still, my love,
I'll know that you're still mine.

Oh, if you are still mine, my love,
Then I will gladly sing
A song to say that I, my love,
Still wear your wedding ring.

Yes, I still wear your ring, my love,
But I am growing old -
My hands are now so worn, my love,
And I am turning cold.

Oh I am turning cold, my love,
And soon will be with you -
Above the earth to rise, my love,
Whene'er my time is through.

When'er my time is through, my love,
And I am waxing pale
I'll lay me down to sleep, my love,
With aspect weak and frail.

With aspect weak and frail, my love,
When I am set to die -
In reaching out to you, my love,
Together flying high.
