Fool To Love - Poem by Melissa Zuniga

Things arent going well my love
I lay here on the grass, sighing
I look to the sky,1,2,3 I count
My eyes droop low when youre not there
My friends just smile at this fact
For all they know im always like this

Im oblivious, this i know
Some say im a fool for being brave
Clearly they are wrong, Im madly in love
The signs are there, can they tell?
I smile all the time, not frowning once
Except when i look at the sky
To dream of you once more, am I a fool to love?

At times i thought so
I did understand my pain
The crevices of my bitter distaste
1,2,3 I count, that feeling lingers still
Im no fool for thinking of you
So ill remember this, as a look at the sky
