Footprints Poem by Phil Soar

Footprints

I left my footprints etched into the sand
until the tide left nothing in its place
and no-one would have know that I'd been there
It left a saddened look upon my face

But still, I have such memories of setting suns
across a beach and glowing crimson red
why should my missing footprints worry me?
when I have lots of memories instead
