A sprinkle of snow in my garden,
showing that winter is here.
A chorus of sounds from the hedgerows,
When suddenly Robin appears.
He tiptoes around on the surface,
Of ground that is frozen and white,
Leaving his footprints behind him,
Oh what a pure delight.
A crow flies above in a hurry,
Like a flash he is gone on his way.
For the moment I'll look through my window,
Passing an hour away.
Winter brings moments to cherish,
Mixed with thoughts of when spring will arrive.
Memories of days with our loved ones,
That gives a warm feeling inside.
