Footsteps (From, The River Sings On) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Footsteps (From, The River Sings On)

From my window
I see the winter's snow,
in the morning glow
of the yesterdays.

Footsteps to and fro
- rays from the gone night.
Soft distances adagio
in the evening flight,
- all is in my heart now.

The air, so sweet of spell,
as the clouds go by
with greetings and farewell,
to the dreams
that around here lie.
All is in my heart now.
